Week 2

This week we are excited to read less and code more! For those of us who are very new to the computer science and coding world, these exercises can help us increase our fluency in this new language.

Read: Chapter 3: Try Your Hand at Coding

Spend 30 - 45 minutes trying out any of the warm-ups or exercises from pages 27-29.

IMPORTANT! Some of the exercises in the book can be tricky to access.  We have created a document with tips to help you get coding as quickly as possible HERE.

Reflect: Post your response to one of the prompts below by Monday morning.
If you are new to computer science, share your reflections on your own experience. What thoughts or feelings did you notice as you worked? How might this help you support students who are new to this work in the future?

OR

If this was not your first time coding, what insight did the exercise produce that you might be able to share with a novice coder?

Interact: On Monday, read your colleagues' reflections and respond to at least one other post by sharing a comment, insight, or interesting possibility by next Thursday.
